Jibby Beane Links

This is a list of some of my favourite companies, places and people who have web sites which I recommend visiting and bookmarking.
HAZEL DESIGN
Hazel Design are an excellent web design company I use to make the changes I want to my website.
VENUS INTERNET
Venus are the fantastic company in Denmark Street, London who host my web site for me. They are very nice boys, Oliver, Robin, Weed, et al. And, as I am sure you'll agree from wherever you are in the world, run a pretty damn fast and efficient server! Any problems with speeds and it's go to be my large images that's the problem!
THE SOUTH BANK CENTRE
Largest Arts Centre in Europe, on my doorstep! Need I say more...The excellent Festival Producer David Sefton has been busy making this venue the place to see new music performances. Every year they invite someone of renown to curate the Meltdown Festival, this year it is the magical but elusive artist Scott Walker. Last year it was the turn of darling Nick Cave and John Peel before that so you can imagine the quality of the acts, unsurpassed anywhere.
THE KNITTING FACTORY
The Knitting Factory is THE place to see great gigs when you are in New York. I saw 30th anniversary get together by Gong in May 1999. Unbelievable! I have previously seen Jonathan Richman and John Zorn play there. It really is the coolest live venue in the world and they were hoping to set up something here but it unfortunately fell through due to the vagaries of the art system here. Despite its multitude of music venues London really needs one...
THE EVENING STANDARD
The Evening Standard runs a excellent listing service for all that's hip and groovy in London. Check for details of good clubs and galleries.

Built in 1934 as a tea pavilion, the Serpentine was established by the Arts Council of Great Britain in 1970. Since the Gallery reopened in February 1998, following a £4 million renovation, it has attracted a record breaking 420,000 visitors.
TATE GALLERY The best art museum in Great Britain, without doubt and soon to be expanded to consist of two London sites, one at Millbank dealing with art up to the beginning of the century and the new Tate Bankside to deal with 20th Century art. I can't wait till the new millennium bridge is open and I can walk down from Clerkenwell through St. Pauls and over the Thames by foot to the biggest and best modern art gallery in the world, roll on March 2000!

He is now working on a short promotional film in ultra glam 35mm format. I would die to be in it!
